[b:8d58424e89]Since we all know that "Stripahs" never eat crabs... ['get stuck on the way down!?]...
well, maybe sometimes...

I use a bobbin threader to run the legs into the body and "spot weld" everything in place with the Tuffleye FLEX...

the small feather tip trimmings are welded in as rear swimmer legs...

To better mimmic the look of ninja toe biters, I've sprinkled some fine sand recovered from my wading
booties over uncured acrylic UV FREE ZONE Tuffleye FLEX to enhance texture and appearance...
The UV FREE visible BLUE light safely seals the deal...

'Tyed conservatively, the wimpy negative ballast will cause a gentle swim to the safety of the bottom...
I prefer a clear intermediate line... with no startling distinctive black fly line laying on the sand to inspire a paranoia attack...
In shallow water, "Striped predarors" are already very cautious and spooky!
A slow retrieve and occasional twitch to spark the interest of approaching diners worksforme...
'Just try to stay tight or at least in contact with the fly...
Under ideal conditions, the TAKE can be quite pleasingly "visual"...
GAME ON!

Capricious Crustacean...
The forums are very quiet
The Global FlyFisher forum has existed for almost as long as the site, and the oldest posts are more than 20 years old. Forums aren't what they used to be. Social media has taken over a lot of their roles, and the GFF form is very quiet ... to put it mildly.
We keep everything online for the sake of history, and preserve the posts for as long as possible, but as you will see, quite a few of them aren't in a good shape, but rely on old images hosted elsewhere, which are no longer available, odd codes from old systems and much more, which can't be shown in a decent way.
But the posts are here, and you can - if you insist - start new threads. But don't stay awake waiting for replies, because they are unfortunately few and far apart.

[b:ee7997529d]'Went to the Bear's Den and Scott had Centipede Legs... [and did he look strange!]
'always seem to find stuff that I didn't know I needed or already had... [or does it find me?]
'Same basic idea... some different colours...
Now I need to find some patience to twitch these properly like a paranoid crustacean...

Capricious Crustacean 5.0...
[b:7dd2b9ce5a]More often than knot, after tying I'll continue to ponder the resultz and refine the process...
This is the latest in the "evolution"... Capricious Crustacean 5.0 ?!
anyway...
Basically the same except...
there's some fox fore and aft, smaller nipperz, more pronounced swimmerz, four [4] legz each side, and a more subtle colour applied to the Arabian sand infused Bug-Bond acrylic on the carapace back...
This sort'a pheels a bit like a phinal edition... but I know better...

'Buck tail mixed with DNA olive w/phlash to shroud the ugly bottom...
